Britney Spears' mom breaks silence after wedding

Britney Spears’ mother is “so happy” for the singer following her recent wedding.

The ‘Toxic’ hitmaker married long-term partner Sam Asghari on Thursday (09.06.22) at her home in Thousand Oaks, California, and though she didn’t invite her parents Jamie and Lynne Spears, or her sister Jamie Lynn, to her celebrations, her mom couldn’t be more thrilled for her daughter.

After Britney – who did invite her brother Bryan to the ceremony but he didn’t attend – shared some photos from her wedding on Instagram, Lynne commented: “You look radiant and so happy!

“Your wedding is the ‘Dream’ wedding! And having it at your home makes it so sentimental and special!

“I am soooo happy for you! I love you! ()”

Britney’s relationship with her family has been strained due to the 13-year conservatorship she was under until November 2021, meaning she didn’t extend an invitation to her wedding to her parents – who are divorced – or her sister, who she has previously been critical of over her tell-all memoir.

The ‘Gimme More’ hitmaker’s two sons, Sean Preston, 16, and 15-year-old Jayden – who she has with ex-husband Kevin Federline – declined to attend the wedding but said they were “happy” for their mother.

However, Sam had several members of his family at the celebrations, including his three sisters.

The 40-year-old singer has praised her “beautiful” wedding guests, who included Drew Barrymore, Madonna, Paris Hilton and Selena Gomez.

She wrote on Instagram: “So many incredible people came to our wedding and I’m still in shock !!! @drewbarrymore my girl crush and @selenagomez who btw is way prettier in person if that’s possible both came !!! I was speechless … I kissed @madonna again and we danced into the night with @ParisHilton … Thank you @donatella_versace for designing my dress … I felt so beautiful … Thank you also to @StephanieGottlieb @CharlotteTilbury and @sofiatilbury for my jewelry and makeup !!! I think we all fell on the dance floor at least 2 times !!! I mean come on … we were all VOGUING !!! @SamAsghari I LOVE YOU !!! ().”
