NingNing of aespa is the latest face of Versace.
The 21-year-old Chinese singer – who rose to fame in 2020 in the K-Pop girl group – has been unveiled as a global brand ambassador for the Italian luxury fashion brand.
She said: “Versace is a brand that supports individuals in expressing themselves creatively, especially those who confidently express themselves in the music industry. For this reason, I am very thrilled and excited to be Versace’s brand ambassador. Every time I wear Versace, I feel empowered by its unique style and attitude. I hope others can also show their confidence through Versace.”
Donatella Versace, 68, added: “NingNing is not only a brilliantly talented star, she is a wonderful person.
“She has a strong, confident vision, incredible energy and talent and she looks amazing wearing our clothes. I am thrilled she is becoming part of our global Versace family.”
She joins fellow K-Pop star Hyunjin, of the South Korean boy band Stray Kids, at Versace.
Last year, Dua Lipa teamed up with Donatella to co-design a womenswear collection for Versace.
The 28-year-old British pop star and the Italian fashion designer created the high summer ‘La Vacanza’ women’s collection.
Speaking about the collection, Dua – who made her runway debut at Versace’s Spring/Summer 2022 show at Milan Fashion Week – said: “I am absolutely thrilled to have co-designed the women’s ‘La Vacanza’ collection for Versace with Donatella. She and I have formed such a strong bond over the years, and I’m so grateful for the support I’ve received from her and the whole team since the very beginning of my career.
“For her to give me the honour of co-designing this collection and letting all my summer inspirations go wild has been a dream. I am so very proud of this collection and cannot wait to debut it in Cannes.”
Chief Creative Officer of Versace Donatella added: “I have always been inspired by a collaborative design process. Working with Dua on this collection has been very exciting and I love the dynamic between us.
