After months of intense speculation, a One Direction reunion could happen at long last – and it could be a virtual one.
During a recent stint on an English radio show, Harry Styles confirmed a reunion is on the cards.
Speaking to SiriusXM Hits 1 show The Morning Mash Up, Harry was asked if he would consider a Zoom call with “some of the wee 1D boys and possibly doing a quick performance?”
To which he responded; “I don’t know if that’s the reunion we’ve had in mind. I don’t know if that would be the way to do it, but I’ll have a quick whip-’round.”
A ‘quick whip-round’ could be all that stands between us and the virtual concert of our dreams.
The news comes after months of speculation over a One Direction reunion.
In December 2019, Niall Horan hinted that the band will “come back with a bang” when they decide the time is right for a reunion.
Bandmate Louis Tomlinson also told ODE Entertainment that almost four years after their indefinite hiatus, a One Direction reunion is on the cards.
“Yeah, I do think it’ll happen. And I’d certainly have something to say about it if it didn’t,” he revealed.
“But I think it’s inevitable.”
Harry’s shock announcement comes after his former bandmate Louis Tomlinson announced that he has been forced to postpone his first Australian solo tour, which was slated to take place later this month.
Louis’ new tour dates will be announced later this year.
Meanwhile, Harry – who is also set to make a returning trip Down Under – in November, will confirm his trip in a few months, with many fans left on the edge of their seats.
