Orpheus Pledger has revealed he is becoming a music producer.
The 26-year-old confirmed the move on Wednesday, amid speculation he would continue in entertainment following his move away from acting.
Orpheus left the role of Mason Morgan on Home and Away back in November, following a number of years on the show.
Back in November, he shared a sweet tribute to his on-screen character, who was shot dead in the dramatic season finale.
‘Thanks to Home and Away for an amazing few years, it has been some of the best! Love to the cast/crew, & especially all the fans!’ the 26-year-old captioned the snap.
His fellow co-stars were quick to comment underneath the snap.
Penny McNamee, who plays Tori Morgan, commented: ‘Orphy!!! What am I going to do without you?!?! I love you, I miss you. My little brother forever and ever.’
Olivia Deeble, who played Raffy Morrison, wrote: ‘Proud of you’.
In the gripping season finale, the Ouroboros gang took over the Northern Districts Hospital and kept those inside captive.
In the episode, four gunmen held a number of characters hostage, including Bella Nixon, played by Courtney Miller.
Mason decided to take a stand against the gang in order to help save Bella.
Orpheus’ departure from the long-running program comes after he told TV WEEK on Friday that he felt it was ‘time to move on, and plan what’s next in his career’.
He told the publication his exit from the series was a creative decision, because it benefits the show the most at this time.
