Harry Styles told about Nick Kroll's engagement first

Harry Styles was the first person to know about Nick Kroll and Lily Kwong’s engagement.

The ‘Watermelon Sugar’ hitmaker was desperate to know how his friend’s plan to propose had gone after the actor confided his intention to pop the question in his ‘Don’t Worry Darling’ castmate, director Olivia Wilde and co-star Florence Pugh, and so found out she’d said yes before they’d even told their parents.

Nick recalled on ‘The Tonight Show’: “We were getting ready to call our parents and take a picture and all that stuff, and Harry Styles texted me to be like, ‘Have you done it yet? What’s going on?’

“So Harry Styles was the first person to know that we were getting married, before my parents, before Lily’s parents, before anybody. Harry was the first person to know, and he gave us his blessing, and it meant the world.”

Harry then sent the couple – who are expecting their first child together – a “huge” bouquet of flowers on their wedding day last month and Nick joked they’re now planning on making the former One Direction singer the guardian for their kids.

He added: “When we got married in Big Sur, he sent us a huge bouquet of flowers. Just so lovely and kind…he doesn’t know this yet, but he is now going to be the guardian of all of our children.”

The ‘Big Mouth’ co-creator revealed last week he and Lily – who announced her pregnancy in October – had tied the knot.

He shared a photo of their big day on Instagram and wrote: “So very thankful for @lily_kwong.”

The landscape artist shared the same photo and revealed they had married on 19 November and credited Rushka Bergman for designing her wedding gown.
