Roxanne Luciano’s new Caribbean fused hip-hop single “RichRich” is out now. Rising to Fame, Luciano comes from a family of entertainers. Growing up in the music business, Luciano has met and worked with reputable artists across all genres.
Staying true to herself, this dynamic artist has crossed over barriers and is killing the scene.
So much so, the legendary Tony Mercedes, whose career total sales exceed over 80 million units, is the driving force behind newcomer Roxanne Luciano.
We talked with Roxanne about her new single, music inspirations, and what she can’t live without
Q: How has the pandemic altered your music process?
A: “Music has been pretty different since the pandemic. When I say that I mean, things are now being held more virtually than ever, which is in a way neat for me because I haven’t performed in front of a crowd, so starting virtually wouldn’t be so bad for me. “
Q: Who would you say is your biggest music inspiration?
A: “Tony Mercedes, Timbaland, Missy Elliot. I honestly don’t have just one.“
Q: How has it been multi-tasking between building your music and working towards your degree?
A: “It has been extremely exhausting and overwhelming at times, but both music and school are two passions of mine, so there’s no going back. It’s so worth it. “
Q: Tell us about your new single “Rich Rich”.
A: “Rich Rich is my baby lol. My very first single that I am so proud of. I wanted to channel my own self in this song because it is different. Rich Rich gives raw confidence and power for women all over!“
Q: Where do you see your music career in 5 years?
A: “With the help of God and my team, the sky is the limit and that’s where I’m taking this music… to the top and beyond.“
Q: Do you have any advice for young rappers who want to make it in this entertainment industry?
A: “Be yourself. Don’t be afraid. We need our voices heard because we matter. Not just for rappers but for anyone who wishes to make it in the music industry. Don’t be afraid to be raw and rebellious. We all have something to give. “
Q: What is one thing you cannot live without, and why?
A: “A journal. My brain goes a million miles an hour. I need a journal to remain sane lol. Oh and a pen.. lol.“
