Naomi Campbell: I'm so lucky to have a dream child

Naomi Campbell feels “really lucky” to have a “dream child”.

The 51-year-old model became a first-time mother earlier this year, and has said her baby daughter is “so very independent already” and is the “dream” child because she doesn’t cause any hassle for her busy mum.

Naomi told BBC’s ‘HARDtalk’ on Friday (17.09.21): “I’m really lucky. I think I have a dream child. She is wonderful. She’s so very independent already. Very smart, alert. Sleeps 12 hours. A good girl.”

Back in May, the beauty made the surprise announcement that she had welcomed her first baby into the world, as she shared a photo of her hand holding the infant’s feet on Instagram.

She wrote at the time: “A beautiful little blessing has chosen me to be her mother. So honoured to have this gentle soul in my life there are no words to describe the lifelong bond that I now share with you my angel. There is no greater love. ()”

Meanwhile, it was reported in June this year that Naomi is embracing motherhood alone and has split from her mystery boyfriend who was originally thought to be helping her raise her daughter.

An insider said: “[She is] doing the baby thing entirely on her own.

“Naomi had a girlfriend with her last week, helping with the baby. Her mystery boyfriend hasn’t been mentioned in quite some time. There’s no suggestion of another half helping her.”

It was also claimed Naomi had been longing to have a baby, with insiders suggesting that the news didn’t come as a surprise to those who know the star even if it was kept under wraps from the public.

Another source explained: “She’s wanted a baby for a long time, more than 10 years. And anyone who’s surprised Naomi is having a baby on her own, her own way, and on her own timetable doesn’t know Naomi Campbell. Hasn’t she redefined everything she’s ever touched?”
